MacBook logic board repair
Component-level MacBook logic board repair under the microscope — dead machines, no-backlight, USB-C faults. From £149, Whitton High Street. No fix, no fee.
What the fault looks like
- —Completely dead — no chime, no fan, no sign of life on any charger
- —Chargers negotiate but the machine will not power on
- —Screen black with an external display working — a backlight circuit fault
- —One or more USB-C ports dead or intermittent
What we actually do
This is bench work, not part swapping. The board comes out, goes under the microscope, and we trace the fault with a schematic and boardview — the same maps Apple-authorised centres use.
Common fixes: backlight driver and fuse, CD3215 USB-C controllers, corroded power-rail components, dead NAND power lines. We replace the failed component, not the board.
Every repair is ultrasonic-cleaned first if there is any corrosion history — you cannot solder reliably onto a contaminated board.
Where a board is genuinely beyond economic repair we say so, quote a replacement board if one makes sense, and offer data recovery as a separate route.
Parts and grades, stated plainly
Discrete components — controllers, MOSFETs, capacitors, connectors — sourced to the original specification. Nothing is "reworked" unless it is the correct fix.
Warranty
3 months on the repaired circuit. No fix, no fee: if we cannot repair it, the diagnosis costs you nothing. Full terms on the warranty page.
Prices by model
The number on the quote is the number on the docket. If your model is not listed, call or WhatsApp — we quote by exact part number, never by guesswork.
